The hue of the leaves is deeper now that the tree is in full leaf. Standing under the tree and looking up, the layering of the leaves in a variety of shades of red and green is quite something. On a bright day the dappled shade under the tree is welcomed. The meadow around the tree is full of buttercups and pignuts.
