the hawthorn tree in december

The stalks of the absent berries enhance the hawthorn tree's thorny silhouette. A lone fly rests amongst the lichen on a branch. Bereft of leaves and haws, a chance to see the maze of trunk and branches which are peppered with lichens.

  1. I'm certainly appreciating the way the shapes of trees suddenly appeared in the December posts. Many apologies for arriving so late; only two days before the next link box! Not too late though, I hope, to wish you a very happy 2015.

    1. Thank you Lucy, and very best wishes to you for a happy 2015!
